Big Bullets and Flames burly forward Chiukepo Msowoya on Monday started trials at South African Premier Soccer League (PSL) side Bloemfontein Celtic.
Celtic’s Malawian team manager John Maduka hinted that the TNM Super League joint Golden Boot Award winner, will be on trials for a week.
“Chiukepo has done very well for both Bullets and the national team and we would like to take a look at him for a couple of days with the hope of signing him,” said Maduka.
Meanwhile, Chiukepo has said he has left everything in the hands of God.
“I will try my level best. I leave everything in the hands of God. The almighty God is great,” he said just before departure.
Chiukepo is earmarked to replace compatriot Frank ‘Gabadinho’ Mhango whose contract was terminated with six months left after signing a pre-contract with Bidvest Wits.
Chiukepo also had unsuccessful trials at Wits and at a top Lebanese side last year.
Should he be signed, it will be the second time that he will play for a South African side having had a stint with Orlando Pirates before.
