Chawinga can’t stop scoring

Malawi’s top women football star Tabitha Chawinga continues to hog the limelight in Sweden in her pursuit for the Second Division Golden Boot Award.

Chawinga claimed a hat-trick when he inspired his team Kvarnvedens beat Kungsbacka 3-0 last Sunday.

He is the league’s leading scorer with 24 goals, eight ahead of Mia Jalkerud who comes second.

Her team still tops the log table with 41 points from 16 matches, eight ahead of second-placed Djurgardens—the team which Jalkerud plays for.

However, Djugardens have a game in hand.

The former DD Sunshine forward claimed two goals in the first half, before completing a hat-trick in the second half, her first this season.
