Castel Cup Round of 16 Fixtures Confirmed

The drama in the Castel Cup continues this weekend as the Round of 16 stage serves up a series of mouth watering fixtures across the country.

Four matches will be played on Saturday, highlighted by Ndirande Stars hosting FCB Nyasa Big Bullets at Kamuzu Stadium. Ndirande Stars reached this stage after edging Red Lions, while Big Bullets progressed at the expense of Songwe Border United.

Shire Wimbe FC will host Ekhaya FC at Nankhaka Stadium in Lilongwe. Shire Wimbe advanced after eliminating Chintheche FC, while Ekhaya FC booked their place with a win over Ntaja United.

At Mpira Stadium in Blantyre, Mighty Tigers will take on Civo United. Tigers progressed after defeating Chilumba Barracks, while Civo United saw off Prison United.

Lower league side Airborne Rangers will also be in action on Saturday when they face Blue Eagles at Champion Stadium. Airborne Rangers knocked out Nsanje United, while Blue Eagles eliminated MAFCO FC.

Action continues on Sunday with holders Mighty Wanderers facing either Moyale Barracks or Bangwe All Stars, following their Round of 32 fixture scheduled for Tuesday. Wanderers reached the Round of 16 after eliminating Extreme FC.

On the same day, Chitipa United will host Kamuzu Barracks, while Goshen City Dedza Dynamos will entertain Karonga United at Dedza Stadium.

The remaining Round of 16 fixture will be played on 24 January when Mzuzu City Hammers face either Namitete Zitha or Silver Strikers at Rumphi Stadium.
