
The 2016 edition of the Carlsberg Cup kicks off this weekend with some of the round of 32 matches.
According to Football Association of Malawi (FAM) competitions manager Gomezgani Zakazaka, five matches will set the ball rolling on Sunday.
“All is set for the kickoff which comes immediately after we conclude the Presidential Cup,” said Zakazaka.
In the opening games, Nsundwe face TNM Super League side Kamuzu Barracks at Civo Stadium in Lilongwe.
Another top-flight league outfit Max Bullets take on Zolozolo at Mpira Stadium in Chiwembe Township, Blantyre.
Area 12 Stars play host to Zomba United at Nankhaka Stadium in Lilongwe in an all lower league affair .
Cobbe Barracks host Super League side Azam Tigers at Zomba Community Centre Ground.
The draw for the competition was held on July 8 live on MBCtv in Blantyre.
