CAF B manual ready, sent to CAF for approval

The Football Association of Malawi will soon resume holding CAF B Coaching Courses after a five year break, following the development of the Course’s manual and programme.

FAM Technical Development Officer Benjamin Kumwenda said the association is waiting for CAF to approve the tailor made manual before rolling out the Course.

“We finished writing and editing the CAF B Coaching Manual as well as the programme for the Course .Everything was sent to CAF’s technical department and are waiting for their feedback.

“CAF instructed us to have our own detailed syllabus . We intend to hold the course soon after approval and clearance of the Covid-19 pandemic which has put football activities at standstill,” said Kumwenda.

He added that the FAM technical department is also in the process of developing CAF C and CAF D manuals.

“We have also finished the write ups for CAF C and D Licences . The CAF D License replaces FAM C Licence and it is a local Licence,” he said.

CAF B Licence is a minimum coaching qualification required for one to coach in the country’s Elite League.

According to the CAF Convention, it is now mandatory for Member Associations to have a customised manual for CAF Certified Coaching Courses.
