Blantyre United last weekend lost 2-1 to revamped Nyasa United in a Masters Security Southern Region Football Association League (SRFA) Premier league match, but they still top the table with 38 points from 20 games.
It was a fruitful weekend for Nyasa who also beat Nyambadwe Majuniors 3-0 on Sunday.
Mitra Icons dropped to second position with 37 points after losing 3-2 to Cobbe Barracks on Saturday.
Chikwawa United and MDF Marine are third and fourth respectively.
Elsewhere, Zomba United FC on Sunday beat Prison United 4-1 in Zomba.
The two teams were meeting barely a week after Prison ousted Zomba from the Carlsberg Cup with a 1-0 win. However, the prison warders came into this game barely 24 hours after bowing out of the Carlsberg Cup by the same margin at the hands of Be Forward Wanderers in Balaka.
Zomba went on the rampage to score through Amidu Mapila (two goals), Yamikani White and Charles Chipala whereas Gift Sikumbuli pulled one back for Prison from the spot kick.
The win has taken Zomba to position nine with 28 points from 15 games whereas Prison have dropped to position 17 with 17 points from 14 games.
