Beach soccer team start camp

The Malawi National Beach Soccer has on Sunday started camp in preparation for next week’s 2022 AFCON Beach Soccer qualifier against Tanzania.

The 25 man squad is camping at Lakeside Hotel and Conference Centre in Senga-Bay, Salima.

Willy Kumilande has been named head coach of the team and will be assisted by Edwin Mtachi with Panganeni Ndovi as the team manager. Uppe Zalira is the goalkeeper trainer while Dexter Kili is the team doctor.

Malawi are taking part in the AFCON qualifiers for the first time and will host Tanzania at the Livingstonia Beach in Salima on Saturday 23 July 2022. 

The return leg will be played at Coco Beach in Dar es salaam on August 7, 2022.
