Beach Soccer National Championship Draw Set for Today

The draw for the 2025 FAM Beach Soccer National Championship is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, 12 May 2026, at Mpira Village, ahead of the tournament set for 16 and 17 May 2026 in Nkhotakota.

Six teams have qualified for this year’s championship: Umodzi (Salima), Nkopola (Mangochi), Peninsula (Karonga), Beach Eagles (Nkhata Bay), Rank (Nkhotakota), and Vinthenga (Nkhotakota).

During the draw, host teams Rank and Vinthenga will be seeded into separate groups, with Vinthenga automatically placed in Group A and Rank in Group B. The remaining four teams will then be drawn into the two groups.

The competition will follow a single round-robin format, with each team playing two matches within their respective groups.

The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals, where the winner of Group A will face the runner-up of Group B, while the winner of Group B will play the runner-up of Group A.

Winners of the semi-finals will progress to the final, while the losing sides will compete in the third-place playoff.
