Beach Soccer fail to leave for Burundi

Malawi Beach Soccer National team has this afternoon failed to leave the country for Burundi for Saturday’s 2024 Beach Soccer AFCON Qualifier due to travel logistical challenges.
The team failed to secure in time documentation for layover visas in Democratic Republic of Congo where the team was expected to spend a night tomorrow before connecting to Bujumbura on Thursday.
FAM is currently working on new travel arrangements to ensure the team leaves tomorrow for the important match.
Malawi face Burundi in the first leg of the qualifiers on Saturday before hosting the return leg next week Saturday in Salima.
