BB, Mafco close in on Eagles

Nkhulambe scored a brace

Defending champions Nyasa Big Bullets and Mafco are closing in on TNM Super League current leaders Blue Eagles as they are now training by three points.
Bullets thumped Kamuzu Barracks 4-1 at Kamuzu Stadium on Sunday to move a place up to second position with 31 points from 17 games just like Mafco who pipped Azam Tigers 2-1.
However, Bullets have a better goal difference.
But Silver Strikers also have a chance to go second if they can beat MTV Max Bullets on Wednesday.
New-signing Collen Nkhulambe and captain Chiukepo Msowoya scored a brace apiece for Bullets while Benson Hojani claimed the face saver for the Malawi Defence Force (MDF) side.
Leaders Blue Eagles were frustrated by Epac FC who forced them to a goalless draw at Civo Stadium in Lilongwe.
At Mzuzu Stadium, Moyale Barracks and Mzuzu University (Mzuni) FC played out a one-all draw.
Lughindiko Nhlane put Mzuni ahead in the 10th minute before Steve Msiska cancelled the lead 22 minutes later.
