Bangwe in Castel semis

Bangwe  All Stars on Saturday beat Chitipa United  4-3 on post match penalties to reach the semifinals of the  Castel Challenge Cup.

After a goalless 90 minutes the match went into penalty lottery and Bangwe keeper Rahman John was the hero of the afternoon after he saved Glem Lemera’s spot kick before slotting in the winning penalty.

This is Bangwe first semifinal qualification for a national cup.

In Blantyre Nyasa Big Bullets  beat  Civo Service United 3-0 in the round of 16 to secure a  quarterfinal against Ekwendeni Hammers.

Lanjesi Nkhoma scored the first goal in the 19th minute.

Gastin Phodo got the People’s team second on 66th minute before Hassan Kajoke sealed the win in the 84th minute.
