Dwangwa Town Hammers in FISD regional final

Dwangwa Town Hammers beat Lilongwe based Tiakalulu 4-3 on post penalties to become the first team to reach the FISD Challenge Cup regional final for Central Region.
In a lunch hour kickoff at the Civo Stadium on Sunday , Hammers came from behind to force a penalty shootout following a one all draw in regulation time. George Chifundo gave Tiakalulu a 6th minute lead with Hammers leveling the scores through Suman Julius in the 74th minute.
Hammers will face the winner of the last semifinal to be played on Tuesday 27th October 2016 as Dedza Young Soccer host Lakevalley at Dedza Stadium.
In the Northern Region Zolozolo booked the last spot in the semifinals when they beat Masendesende 7-0.
Smith Kadawasi scored five goals while Zikani Sichinga hit a brace for Zolozolo who will face Green Rangers from Likoma on Sunday 2nd October at the Mzuzu Stadium. In the other Semifinal match in the North Rumphi Pirates will play Uliwa FC at the Mzuzu Stadium on Saturday 1st October 2016.
In the Southern Region, Dululu FC, Sayama, Nsanama and Migowi FC booked places in the last four with convincing wins.
On Saturday Dululu beat Umodzi FC 3-1 with goals from James Laoudon, Paul Fightone and Masauso Nine while Elias Tchale scored the consolation for Umodzi.
A Yamikani Naluso brace and a goal from Chikondi Chisasa gave Sayama a 3-2 win over Victory Rangers who scored through Johannes Chisale.
On Sunday Chiradzulu Police failed to utilise home ground advantage as they lost 2-0 to Nsanama. Dave Banda claimed both goals for the visitors.
In Balaka, visitors Migowi FC beat hosts Balaka Eagles 3-1 with goals from Gregory Kavalo, Cedrick Namwili and Robert Mikuwi. Kondwani Lemani scored the consolation for Balaka.
The semifinal line up for the South will see Sayama hosting Nsanama at Esparence in Mulanje on Saturday 1st October 2016 while Dululu will face Migowi FC at Kalulu Stadium in Nchalo on Sunday 2nd October 2016.
