Civil Service (Civo) United FC have confirmed the firing of their coach Milias Pofera Jegwe.
Jegwe’s future at Civo has been the centre of speculation following the Civil Servants’ poor run in the first round of Super League.
However, his fate was sealed last Thursday when the club’s vice-general secretary Ronald Chiwaula confirmed his firing.
Jegwe, has in the in the interim, been replaced by Charles Manda who was acting as technical director.
“I can confirm that Pofera-Jegwe has been fired, his contract was performance-based and he failed to live up to expectations,” said Chiwaula.
Jegwe also confirmed his firing but said ge could not comment much as he needs to seek legal advice.
Jegwe was recruited from relegated Dedza United.
