Chawinga opens scoring account

Malawi’s Sweden-based female striker Tabitha Chawinga on Sunday opened her scoring account in the Swedish Damallsvenskan Premier League.
She scored the second goal when her team Kvansverden beat Umea FC 2-1 in their opening match of the season.
Her team-mate Tiffany Weimer scored the first goal in the 33rd munute and Chawinga doubled the lead in the 81st minute.
But at the dot of full time, Umea pulled one back through Backstrom.
Chawinga has set her eyes on winning the Golden Boot Award by scoring 25 goals.
“I think it is a realistic target and eith dedication and hardwork, I am optimistic I can make it,” she said.
Last year, the former DD Sunshine striker scooped the Golden Boot Award with 43 goals.
In a related development, Chisomo Kadzisonga’s Second Dvision side  FC Artela Porta were kicked out of Ladies Cup by Bundesliga side SKV Altenmark 4-0.
