Bullets get the better of 'Dembare'

Bullets and Dynamos in action

TNM Super League champions Big Bullets got off their pre-season campaign on a bright note when they beat and then drew with visiting top Zimbabwean outfit Dynamos.
The People’s Team won the first friendly match 1-0 on Saturday at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre before playing out a goalless draw on Sunday at Civo Stadium in Lilongwe on Sunday.
The two games were the first assignments for Bullets’ new coach Franco Ndawa. On Saturday, defender George Nyirenda’s deflected shot settled an otherwise balanced affair.
In both matches Bullets paraded some new signings including goalkeeper Ernest Kakhobwe, defenders John Lanjesi and Emmanuel Zoya and midfielder Amadu Makawa. Ndawa expressed satisfaction with his team’s performance.
“It gave me a chance to try some formations and how some players would perform. We managed to keep possession which was good .
“Dynamos are not an ordinary side. We learnt quite a lot from them and it was encouraging to win one and draw the other,” said Ndawa.
His Dynamos counterpart Paul Jorge Silva said the games were good training matches for his team.
“Of course, we could have done better, but the road trips from Harare to Blantyre and the n Blantyre to Lilongwe coupled with some logistical challenges took toll on us,” said Siva.
