Flames itch to win their last game

Mtawali

Flames coach Ernest Mtawali has said although they have already qualified for the quarter-finals of the 2015 edition of the Cecafa Challenge Cup, they will still go flat out for a win in their last match against South Sudan on Friday in Bahir Dar, Ethiopia.
The Flames qualified for the quarter-finals on Wednesday following their 3-0 win over minnows Djibouti.
“We are not satisfied with just qualifying, we need to maintain the 100 percent record and we will play to win on Friday,” said Mtawali in an interview from Bahir dar on Wednesday evening.
He, however, acknowledged that it will not be an easy game.
“We have watched both their games [against Djibouti and Sudan] and seriously, they are a good side.
“At least we have an idea of how they play and we will come up with a strategy for them,” he said.
The Flames will be without the services of striker Schumacher Kuwali who was shown the red card in the match against Djibouti, a development that will pave way for Mozambique-based forward Chawanangwa Kawonga.
South Sudan beat Djibouti 2-0 in their opening match before holding Sudan to a barren draw. They are second to Malawi in the group with four points.
Malawi have six points having won both their games against Sudan (2-1) and Djibouti.
