
Malawi national women football team defender Chisomo Kazisonga scored in her league debut for SV Nosv Neulengabsh against UDFC Hofbei Straden in the opening Australian Second Division match.
Kazisonga’s team came out 2-0 winners in a match played last Sunday.
Kazisonga scored the second with two minutes into the added time. At half time, they were leading 1-0 with a goal from Julia Hickelsberge that came with seven minutes into the game.
In Sweden high-flying Tabitha Chawinga claimed a hat-trick as her Swedish club Kvarnsveden IK beat Atla 4-0.
Chawinga has taken her tally to 30 goals, 12 ahead of Jaikenid who has 18 gaols and plays for second placed team Djurgadeo.
The former DD Sunshine striker scored her first goal in the first half. At half time they were leading 2-0 and the other goal came from Elin Danielsson.
In the second half, Chawinga, who is the leading scorer in the Swedish second-tier league, added two goals to boost up her chances of clinching the Golden Boot award.
Following the win, Kvarnsveden IK still lead the log table with 47 points from 18 games.
