Carlsberg Cup national phase kicks off

Nomads set to play Max Bullets
The Carlsberg Cup national phase kicks off on Wednesday with six matches.
The pick of the day is the tie between Mighty Be Forward Wanderers and Max Bullets at Kalulu Stadium in Nchalo.
While the Nomads will be hoping to recover from their back-to-back Super League losses against Silver Strikers and their arch-rivals Big Bullets, on the other hand, Max Bullets are itching to cause a shock.
Max Bullets coach Aubrey Nankhuni said they are determined to give the Nomads a good run for their money.
“It provides an opportunity for my players to prove that they are equally good. We want to compete and not just participate,” said Nankhuni.
Support Battalion host Mzuni at Civo Stadium in Lilongwe (12 noon), Dedza Young Soccer Stars engage Karonga United in Dedza, Changalume will take on Kamuzu Barracks in an all-soldiers affair in Zomba.
Silver Strikers Reserves host Epac at Silver Stadium in Lilongwe while Airborne Rangers will face Ndirande Icons at Civo Stadium.
On Thursday, Chilumba Barracks will host Fisd Wizards at Mzuzu Stadium. The game will be curtain-raised by the match between OP FC and Master Security.
