Malawi Under-20 Men’s National Football Team head coach Enos Chatama has named a 32-member provisional squad for the CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations COSAFA Qualifiers.
Malawi have been drawn in Group C, where they will face Zambia, Comoros and Botswana in the regional qualifiers scheduled to take place from 18 to 27 September in Mozambique.
Chatama has retained 10 players from the 18-member squad that represented Malawi at last year’s COSAFA Under-20 Championship during the Region 5 Youth Games in Windhoek, Namibia.
The team started its preparations last week with a scouting exercise and will begin full training today ahead of the competition.
The COSAFA Qualifiers will determine the teams that will represent the region at the CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations.
