Fazili Eyes Improved Scorchers Display Against Tanzania

Malawi National Women’s Team head coach Lovemore Fazili says the Scorchers are determined to produce a better result when they face Tanzania in their second FIFA international friendly on Saturday.

The two sides meet again in Dar es Salaam after Tanzania edged Malawi 1-0 in the first encounter, despite the Scorchers creating several scoring opportunities.

“Looking at the previous game, we lost 1-0, and I think the players are really eager to bring positive results on Saturday. We had discussions with the players and the technical panel, looked at the positives and negatives of the game, and the players also contributed,” said Fazili.

The coach revealed that the squad has responded positively in training, with players showing a clear understanding of the areas that need improvement ahead of the rematch.

“Everybody was sharp and ready for the game. We looked at some areas which went wrong and tried to polish them. I am sure that by today’s training, we will have covered everything,” said Fazili.

Fazili also provided a positive update on the squad’s fitness, confirming that he has a full complement of players available for selection ahead of Saturday’s match.
