FAM to Host FIFA Club Management Courses

The Football Association of Malawi will host the FIFA Essential Courses in Club Management from Thursday, 21 May to Friday, 22 May, in Lilongwe.

The programme forms part of FIFA’s regional workshops and professionalisation initiatives aimed at strengthening the business operations, governance and sustainability of football clubs across the world.

The courses complement the flagship FIFA Diploma in Club Management and are designed to build the capacity of football executives in key operational areas of the modern game.

Participants will be drawn from clubs in the FDH Bank Premiership and the NBM Women’s Premiership, reinforcing FAM’s commitment to developing both men’s and women’s football structures.

The training will focus on key pillars of football administration, including club governance and leadership, strategic planning, financial management, commercial and marketing operations, as well as match organisation.

The workshop is expected to support FAM’s broader football transformation and professionalisation agenda by strengthening administrative capacity within clubs, improving accountability and helping clubs adopt modern management practices.

It will also equip clubs with knowledge on financial sustainability, commercial growth, marketing and operational planning, while supporting compliance with club licensing requirements.

The participation of women’s football clubs further underlines FAM’s drive to promote inclusive football development and raise professional standards across all levels of the game.
