CAF C Coaching Course Ends with 28 Graduates

The Football Association of Malawi (FAM) has successfully concluded the CAF C Coaching Course at Chiwembe Technical Centre in Blantyre, with 28 participants completing the programme.

The cohort included six women coaches, reflecting the growing participation of women in coaching development programmes under FAM’s Transformation Agenda.

Speaking during the closing ceremony, FAM Executive Committee member Daudi Mtanthiko, who represented the FAM President, encouraged the participants to continue developing their coaching careers and apply the knowledge acquired during the course.

“Learning should not end here. Continue improving yourselves and apply what you have learnt to help develop the game,” said Mtanthiko.

Coach Educator Patricio Kulemeka also emphasized the importance of remaining active in coaching for those aspiring to progress to higher CAF coaching qualifications.

“Only those who are actively practicing will have the opportunity to upgrade to the CAF B Coaching Licence. Use the knowledge you have gained here to transform the game,” he said.

One of the participants, Flora Nyirongo, expressed gratitude to FAM for the opportunity, noting that the course has equipped the coaches with valuable knowledge that will help improve football at grassroots level.

The course, which started in October 2025, focused on equipping coaches with essential technical and tactical knowledge aimed at strengthening grassroots football development. The final examinations were conducted on Friday, with the internship phase scheduled to begin on Monday, 9 March.
