FAM GRANTS FULL LICENSES TO 11 CLUBS

The Football Association of Malawi (FAM) has awarded full club licenses to eleven Super League teams for the 2025/2026 season, following a review by its Club Licensing First Instant Body (FIB) on Tuesday, April 1, 2025.

The clubs that successfully met all licensing requirements are Blue Eagles, Creck Sporting Club, Dedza Dynamos, Ekhaya FC, FCB Nyasa Big Bullets, Kamuzu Barracks, MAFCO, Mighty Wanderers, Moyale Barracks, Mzuzu City Hammers, and Silver Strikers.

However, five clubs—Civil Service United, Chitipa United, Songwe Border United, Mighty Tigers, and Karonga United—have been granted licenses with sanctions due to their failure to fully comply with licensing conditions.

The FIB has given these clubs until May 5, 2025, to address the outstanding issues. Failure to do so will result in an initial four-point deduction in the Super League standings. If the issues remain unresolved after one month, the clubs will face an additional three-point deduction at the end of every subsequent month until full compliance is achieved.

This licensing process is part of FAM’s ongoing efforts to improve club professionalism and adherence to set standards in Malawian football.
