SANGALA ATTENDS COSAFA TSG WORKSHOP

Football Association of Malawi Technical Support Manager James Sangala attended a two-day Technical Study Group (TSG) Workshop organized by COSAFA from 2 to 3 April 2025 in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The workshop focused on identifying and developing potential TSG members to broaden the pool for CAF zonal and continental competitions, while also strengthening TSG implementation at the Member Association (MA) level.

Reflecting on the experience, Sangala said: “It was an eye-opening experience, providing valuable insights on how TSG can contribute to the development of football in the COSAFA region.”

“A special thanks to our lead facilitator, Leah Sweetness Masango, along with Wilson Mutekede and Phera Ratlhankana, for equipping us with knowledge on TSG roles, analysis tools, the relative age effect, coaching influence, and more.” He added.

Sangala is the first Malawian to be trained under the Technical Study Group (TSG) initiative.
