FAM unveils four new staff members

The Football Association of Malawi (FAM) is pleased to announce the recruitment of four new staff members to reinforce its secretariat as part of its transformative agenda.

The new hires include Duncan Lengani as Referees Development Manager, Clement Kafwafwa as Club Licensing Manager, David Daniel Dauda as Club Licensing Officer, and Collins Nsunza as Communications Officer.

FAM General Secretary Alfred Gift Gunda expressed confidence in the new appointments.

“We would like to congratulate the four for their successful interviews for their respective positions. Their experience, enthusiasm, qualifications and outstanding achievements make them the perfect choices for their roles. The new recruits are the required tools and positions as we are transforming the game,” he said

The additions to the secretariat demonstrate FAM’s ongoing commitment to enhance its operational capability as it works to transform football in Malawi.

Lengani

Duncan Lengani, a former FIFA referee who held the badge for over 15 years, holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and brings a wealth of experience to his new role. He is also an international referees assessor and former chairperson of the Central Region Referees Committee.

Clement Kafafwa

 

Clement Kafwafwa, a former Malawi national team player with 39 caps, served as Flames team manager on two occasions between 2015 and 2016 as well as between 2019 and 2022

The former MDC United defender, who played professional football in Denmark for 10 years between 2003 and 2013, holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sports Management from Mzuzu University and a Diploma in Sports Business Management from the University of Pretoria.

David Daniel Dauda, who joins as the first ever Club Licensing Officer, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and Cultural Studies from the University of Malawi. He previously served as Communications and Fan Engagement Officer for Silver Strikers FC.

Collins Nsunza, a holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration has joined the Association from the Super League of Malawi where he served as its first ever Media and Marketing Manager for the last two seasons.
