Marinica employs 4-4-2 formation against Egypt

Flames Head Coach Mario Marinica has employed a 4-4-2 formation in this evening’s 2023 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Egypt Pharaohs.

The Romanian tactician has trusted his first choice goalkeeper Charles Thom in goals.

Mario has been forced to make changes following the absence of suspended right back Stanley Saudi on the right.

In his place the coach has deployed Romania based Charles Petro while TNM Super League 2022 Player of the Season Gomezgani Chirwa takes up the left side.

Mighty Mukuru Wanderers Lawrence Chaziya and Black Leopards’ Denis Chembezi will partner in central defence with defending midfielder Chikoti Chirwa right in front of the two to form a triangular defence to protect Thom.

Mozambique based Captain John CJ Banda takes up the attacking midfielder role while Blue Eagles’ Micium Mhone will be on the right wing with Juang Galaxy Francisco Madinga on the left wing.

AmaZulu forward Frank Gabadinho Mhango and Polokwane City striker Khuda Myaba will partner upfront in this formation.
