2022 Airtel Top 8 semis list complete

The stage is set. The semi-finals list for the 2022 Airtel Top 8 is now finally complete. 

After 16 pulsating quarter-finals first and second legs, th country’s top four teams will battle it out for the final.

Defending champions Nyasa Big Bullets will host Silver Strikers at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre on December 10 before Mighty Mukuru Wanderers take on Blue Eagles the following day at the same venue. 

Silver were the last to seal their qualification to the semis after a 2-0 victory over Kamuzu Barracks in the quarter-finals second leg.

The Bankers make it to the last four 3-1 on aggregate after the first leg ended 1-1.

They did it convincigly, with the first goal scored by Patrick Macheso coming just three minutes into the match. 

Levison Maganizo completed the mission in added on time.
Silver followed the footsteps of fellow Lilongwe outfit Blue Eagles who made it to the semis on Saturday despite losing 2-0 to Dedza Dynamos Salima Sugar at Dedza Stadium, thanks to a 3-0 first leg win.

Bullets and Wanderes booked their places in the semis a bit earlier. 
Wanderers beat Mafco 2-0 at home Kamuzu Stadium in the first leg and by the same scoreline away at Chitowe in the second leg.

Bullets whitewashed Karonga United 7-0 at Kamuzu Stadium but the second leg ended 1-1 at Karonga Stadium.

The final will be played on December 17 at Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe.
