Ntopwa claim last FDH Bank Cup R16 slot

Ntopwa FC on Saturday afternoon claimed the last FDH Bank Cup Round of 16 slot following a convincing 3-0 win over Mzuzu Warriors at the Mzuzu Stadium.

The match was one of three all Super League teams round of 32 ties others being TN Stars and Moyale Barracks as well as Karonga United versus Be Forward Wanderers.

Levison Chabwera scored the first goal in the 21st minute from a spot kick that was awarded following a foul on striker Mphatso Magaleta.

Magaleta doubled the lead in the 69th minute with a thunderous shot following a goal mouth scramble.

He claimed his brace with a minute before final whistle.

Ntopwa will face Southern Region Football League side Sable Farming in the round of 16.

Meanwhile, FAM’s Competitions Committee is yet to announce the official fixtures for the round of 16 matches which are set for 24-25 July 2021.
