2024 BEACH SOCCER NATIONAL FINALS READY TO ROLL

The National Beach Soccer Association on Monday conducted the draw for the 2024 Beach Soccer National Championship, which is scheduled to take place from April 26 to 27, 2025, at Livingstonia Beach in Salima.

The tournament will feature six teams, the five zonal league champions and the defending national champions, Beach Eagles.

The teams have been divided into two groups of three, with matches set to be played in a single round-robin format. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semifinals.

According to the draw results, Group A consists of Nkhotakota-based Vinthenga, Southern Region representatives Nyasa, and Karonga’s Deep Bay. Group B includes Central Region side Tourism, Black Eagles from Nkhata Bay, and the defending champions Beach Eagles.

Speaking after the draw, National Beach Soccer Association General Secretary Frank Chisambula expressed satisfaction with the preparations, emphasizing that all is in place for a successful tournament, thanks to financial backing from FAM.

“We are ready to host the tournament in Salima. We’ve been visiting the teams at their bases and have observed that they are preparing well,” said Chisambula.

“With the increase in prize money, we expect a highly competitive tournament, as every team will be fighting hard to claim the top prize.”
