Flames in Cecafa winning start

 

Msowoya: Scored the opener

Flames opened their Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup on a good note with a 2-1 win over Sudan on M0nday afternoon.
The Ernest Mtawali side scored first in the 13th minute through Chiukepo Msowoya but Sudan equalised three minutes later.
Winger Daliso Sailesi, making his first start for the Flames, scored the second which eventually became the match winner in the 3oth Minute.
Sudan almost got an equaliser when they were awarded a penalty in 85th minute but goalkeeper Simplex Nthala made sure all the points were collected when he saved the spot kick.
Malawi are second in group C with three points. South Sudan lead the group on goal difference after beating Djibouti 2-0. Flames will face Djibouti on Wednesday in their second match.
