TNM Super League week 24 preview

It’s a top of the table crush as defending champions Nyasa Big Bullets host TNM Super league leaders Silver Strikers at Kamuzu Stadium on Friday.

A single point separates the two giants as Silver Strikers sit at the summit with 46 points from 22 games while Bullets have 45 points from 21 games.

Bullets face a big test to maintain their eight-year elite league unbeaten run at Kamuzu Stadium as well as reclaim the top spot.

The Daniel Kabwe side will be looking forward for a double over the defending champions following their 1-0 win in the first-round courtesy of a Maxwell Phodo’s 89-minute strike.

The match was Previously scheduled for Saturday but was shifted to Friday to allow Bullets travel to Tanzania to participate in the 2021 CECAFA Kagame tournament scheduled between 1-15 August.

On Saturday, Mafco will host Be Forward Wanderers at Civo Stadium as the visitors look forward to maintain their third position while Mafco are chasing for a top 8 spot.

Another interesting encounter this weekend is on Sunday as relegation threatened side Ntopwa and Mzuzu Warriors face each other at Kamuzu Stadium.

Warriors are anchoring the table with 15 points from 23 games while Ntopwa are just a place above them with 19 points from 25 games.

After being booted out of the FDH Bank Cup by Dedza Young Soccer last weekend, Blue Eagles’ eyes are on the Super League top eight position as they face Mighty Tigers on Sunday.
