Bullets win TNM Super League first round

Bullets in top form

Even with a game to spare, defending TNM Super League champions Big Bullets have won the first round which goes with K1 million prize money.
Regardless of the results in the remaining games, no team can surpass Bullets’ 29 points. They are now four points clear at the top and on second position are their arch-rivals Be Forward Wanderers.
Bullets will wind up the first round this Saturday when they host Epac FC at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.
The People’s Team pipped Airborne Rangers 1-0 on Saturday through Under-20 exciting winger Dalitso Sailesi.
Wanderers failed to cut Bullets’ lead to two points when they came from behind to force a one-all draw against Moyale Barracks on Sunday at Kamuzu Stadium in a match that was marred by violence which took place outside the stadium.
The match had to be stopped twice due to the effects of tear gas which spilled into the stadium.
Chrispin Fukizi opened the scoresheet 40 seconds into the second-round, but the Nomads levelled the scores in the dying minutes through their wonderkid Mapopa Kaunda.
Moyale have returned to Mzuzu with four points having beaten bottom-placed Fisd Wizards 1-0 on Saturday in Nchalo through Kuda Muyawa’s strike. They are now on eighth position with 16 points from eight games.
Third-placed Blue Eagles also suffered a shock 2-0 defeat at the hands of Mzuni away in Mzuzu. Wacheta Mwenifumbo and Wisdom Mtika
Azam Tigers displaced Red Lions from the fourth position with a convincing 4-1 victory over rookies Dedza Young Soccer Stars in Nchalo on Sunday.
Tigers now have 23 points from 13 games just like Eagles, who however, have a better goal difference.
