Bullets players recover from Covid

Eight Nyasa Big Bullets players who were in isolation following a positive Covid-19 test last month have now recovered from the disease.

This follows a fourth round Covid-19 test that the players and one official underwent on Monday after their isolation period elapsed.

According to a statement released by the Club, the players; Stanley Biliat, Henry Kabichi, Mike Mkwate, Dalitso Sailesi, Ernest Kakhobwe, Richard Chimbamba, Nelson Kangunje and McFallen Mgwira resumed training on Wednesday morning.

The Super League defending Champions suspended training sessions on December 28 after registering 11 Covid-19 positive cases in the squad prompting the Super League of Malawi to postpone the team’s match with arch rivals Be Forward Wanderers , which was scheduled for January 2 to March.

Two of the team’s players, Hassan Kajoke and Luke Chima resumed training last week after they had tested negative.

Last week, the Super League of Malawi announced that all matches will for now be played without fans following the Presidential Taskforce on Covid-19’s resolution that all meetings should have a maximum of 100 people to control the spread of the Virus.
